Page Summary

Cooperation and mutual support are the keys to success in just about any adventure.  We are bringing three diverse, yet interconnected groups together for mutual support on our common objectives.  Those groups are: the Gay and Lesbian community,   The Reasonables ²  and the people who believe in and practice Universal Spirituality.²   

Although each group may appear to have different objectives, many people are in all three groups at the same time, and the objectives that each group holds have an underlying universal appeal.   Our goal is to bring the underlying principles to the surface and collectively work to accomplish those mutual goals.   That will, at the same time,  accomplish each group's objectives.   

Taking the Next Step in Human Transformation

Treating Symptoms:

Everybody is talking about the symptoms of our problems and spending their time figuring out how to respond to these symptoms.   The two main concerns are environmental destruction and the  excessively rapid rises in the prices of gas, food, medicine, and everything else.   

Regarding exposing the misuse of money by  George Bush and Company,² there's a huge void here waiting to be filled.  If members of the gay and lesbian community speak up on this issue,² we will be spearheading the drive to financial sanity and exposing the present system for what it is, a formerly  well orchestrated financial rip-off.²    Combined with our own issue of gay rights, this can be a powerful tool for transformation.

Tokenism Isn't Enough:

Recycling aluminum cans and using energy-efficient light bulbs is not going to solve the environmental problems, and buying cheaper food and wearing thrift store clothes is not going to solve our economic problems.    

The Next Step:

If we are to be successful, we have to look at root causes of our financial problems and focus our responses there.   After spending months analyzing these issues, the evidence points to these conclusions:   1)  We have the capacity to solve the environmental problem, but it's going to take the cooperation of hundreds of thousands of us.   We are going to have to dedicate ourselves to the task, each in his/her own area of expertise.   In order to do that, the proposal of  The New corporate World Foundation's Win-Win Business Structure  is, by far, the best process yet proposed by anyone, anywhere.    http://www.New-Corporate-World.info#39 ²  

Financial Stability:

2)  In order to focus on the environment, we must first  have a financially stable population and a fully functioning infrastructure.  3)  Money, or more accurately, the misuse of money is at the core of all of our problems.   And to refine this one step further, fraudulent and deceptive lending practices are the core of the core.

Motivation-- Where Are You?   

The problem is not what to do, or even how to do it.   The problem is waking people up to the need for action, now.   Consider the following to be a wakeup call:   We Have Turned On Nature's Doomsday Machine.²

How Does this Relate to Gay Rights

Let me explain with a symbolic  example -- car-pooling.   When two (or more) people are traveling to the same destination, they save, money, time, and effort by helping each other.   Car-pooling is an example of creating a mini, mutual-support community.   Each makes the other's journey easier.   

The same principle applies to the relationships among  Gay Rights,   Financial Well-being  and  Environmental Protection.   The question is not shall the leaders in each field support the other two, but rather,  "How shall we support each other?"   "How shall we blend these seemingly diverse objectives into a unified single, exceedingly powerful force for transformation?"   Let's examine our objectives and see how they blend.   As I've already mentioned above, financial soundness must precede any real powerful environmental work, so, for the moment, we'll focus on relating gay rights and financial well-being, while bringing in the environment whenever possible.   

Financial Well-being:  

Everybody is interested in being financially safe and secure.   The gay and lesbian community is interested in financial safety and security.  So are the people who fit into the class  known as The Reasonables ²  and the people who believe in and practice Universal Spirituality.²  When you put these three categories together,  there are millions of us.   With the exception of the gay and lesbian community,  there has been very little cooperation and mutual support.    That is about to change, and you are invited to be a part of that change.    

Tangible, Doable, Measurable Goals:

Let's chunk things down into two tangible, doable, measurable goals and then blend them together for and with mutual support.   

    The gay and lesbian  goal:   Marriage rights,  civil rights and an end to anti-gay bigotry and discrimination.   As you probably know, in areas of confrontation, the best defense is almost always to challenge the opposition and put them on the defense.  So how do we do that within the non-violent context of creating equal rights for gays and lesbians ?   First, by examining who and what that opposition is.   Second, by going to the core of the opposition's beliefs and exposing their false foundations for what they are.    In the case of anti-gay bigotry, the opposition is almost exclusively conservative fundamentalist Christians.   We have a separate page devoted to how to derail their Bible-based opposition:   The Bible and Human Behavior.²

    The Reasonables   and Universal Spirituality  goal:   To create a sound financial foundation for everyone and to empower the people mentally and emotionally with the truth.   In order to do that, the proposal of The New corporate World Foundation's Win-Win Business Structure  is, by far, the best process yet proposed by anyone, anywhere.

Challenging the Opposition:

How do we blend these two seemingly divergent goals?   First ask,  1) "Who is still supporting George Bush and Company,² as they destroy the economy with Fraudulent Financial Practices ²  and 2) who is opposing gay rights?"  The answer is that one singe group is at the core of the opposition to both of our goals --  The conservative, fundamentalist Christians.    

This is not surprising and it's nothing new.  Conservative religious leaders have resisted change for centuries.   How do we get them to change?   We don't!   We simply expose their bigotry and hypocrisy at every available opportunity.   We ridicule and embarrass them for their lack of willingness to follow the instructions in their own Bible.²   We get other people, those with an open mind, to see what's actually happening.   Remember, our target audience is not the fundamentalist Christians, it's the undecided, the open minded, and the young adults who are still defining themselves.

To date, the Fundamentalist Christians have had the floor, the podium, and the media all to themselves.   With the exception of the gay/lesbian community they have had no opposing voice.  And unfortunately the gay community has yet to seriously challenge the core of the conservative Christian opposition.   That's about to change.   See the page titled:  The Bible and Human Behavior.²
